I hate rain

Today I should go pick up my new love, a Harley Dyna Street bob. It belonged to a friend of mine, and since he can't keep it anymore, and I had to sell mine last year, I figured out I should help him get rid of it! But this fucking weather doesn't approve my plans...it's raining since I woke up, after a 2014 that was the rainiest year I can remember. Fuck it...2015 seems to be the same...
Here's a nice song about this shitty feeling. :)

Danube Delta - best place on Earth

Here's a short video about a magical place in the Danube Delta, Jurilovca, where the Danube meets the sea. The video, made with no budget by a guy called Stefan Butu, became the star of the Tourism Fair in Vienna this month. I've been there few years ago and I highly recommend it. Any place in the Delta is beautiful but Gura Portitei, a small resort reachable only by water is purely stunning.
If you want to plan a visit you need to reserve some time ahead, here the website of the resort.
And here's the video I was talking about..
Jurilovca - Gura portitei

If you like wilderness, fish, birds, nature, quiet you need to visit the Danube Delta. Should be on everybody's bucket list.
Getting there is not that difficult, fly to Bucharest or Constanta and from either take the train to Tulcea (the entry of the Delta) , and from the Tulcea the only option is either renting a boat (more expensive but way faster), either using the regular Ferries.

So you have no excuse for not visiting this magical place.

Pub 18 - Bucharest

Few days ago , I went to some friends in Pub 18 in Regie complex - the Technical University campus. I haven't been there in the past 7-8 years, but I was quite pleasant surprised to see that nothing has changed in the past years, not even the furniture. Same "student" atmosphere, same cheap prices, same great food and cheap good beer. I advise anybody who gets to Bucharest and has some spare time to forget about the crowded "Centru Vechi" where everybody goes and try something different, that makes you feel like 20 years ago. I prefer always a place where you can go play chess or poker, pass out under the table, through up and miss the toilet all in the same time. And the best thing is that you won't be out of context. :)

Here's the website if you plan to go there:
Pub 18 it's in Romanian but you'll sort it out! Use bloody Google maps we're in 21st century :)

You won't regret it. Been there today also with the wife and had the best "mici" ever :))

Why come to Romania?

I was telling you in the past post that I got really really drunk. I got drunk after drinking 12 beers. Carlsberg. Large. You know how much the bill for the 12 beers was? roughly 22 euro. With 22 euro in Amsterdam I would have had 4 beers....in London 3...so...how the hell not to come here when a beer at a pub is below 2 euro?
Come over and get drunk guys! and save money cause we have still some of the best prices in Europe at booze you'll ever find!!!

The Good News of the Day!

Yesterday I got really drunk....but really really drunk, I don't remember being this drunk for a long time. But this is not the good news...the good news is....
This morning I woke up with a huge headache just to read the news that Elena Udrea, the former president's presumed love-toy and Adrian Videanu, former mayor of Bucharest and one of the most hated people in Romania, were taken into custody for corruption, money laundry and some other stuff. The fun stuff is that Elena Udrea actually had the nerve to run for president at the elections last year.
Anyway, after Voiculescu, Nastase and other former arrogant big shots that just few years ago thought this country is their own backyard, went to prison, to see this sort of characters facing prison is like a breath of fresh air. Better later than never. I sure hope that Romania is on the right track to truly European country with an independent and strong justice system.

BUCHAREST not Budapest !!!!

This is the most important thing that everybody who went through school anywhere in the world should know once and for good.
The capital of Romania is Bucharest not bloody Budapest. In Romanian it's pronounced BUCURESHTI and we just had the 555 years anniversary of the city in 2014! Budapest is a beautiful city but it's 800 km away in Hungary and has nothing to do with us.
I know it sounds sort of similar in English but it's a huge difference and it's quite offensive for a Romanian to hear from you that you're mistaking about his capital city. Especially with Budapest, our rivals for millenniums.
The only reason why you don't get punched in the face for mistaking this two cities is the common sense that most of the Romanians have, but you never know when you will find the one guy that had enough of this shit and hits you in the face with a shovel. We had quite a number of big artists that came here and screamed off the stage" Good Evening, Budapest", and the only reason why they weren't lynched was the huge armies of bodyguards they had with them.
So get it straight: THE CAPITAL OF ROMANIA IS BUCHAREST! It's the minimum of common sense research that you should do before coming here or talking to a Romanian.
A Romanian Chocolate company, ROM, made quite a nice video about this issue:

Hope this got to your head! Now let's here you repeat...Bu-Cha-Rest not Bu-da-Pest!
